JOINT INSTITUTE FOR FOOD SAFETY AND APPLIED NUTRITION (JIFSAN)
Quantitative Risk Assessment and
Introduction to FDA-iRISK®
September 19-22 and September 26-28, 2023
Instructor Led – Online via Zoom.
Learn the basics of building and understanding quantitative risk assessment models and be introduced to FDA-iRISK®, a Web-based, comparative risk assessment tool. The many built-in functions and automated features in this tool allow users to conduct fully probabilistic risk assessments relatively rapidly and efficiently.
This course will provide participants with a strong foundation in stochastic processes, probabilistic risk assessment and Monte Carlo simulation. The course will also discuss how to use data and expert opinion when building models.
Participants can expect to gain hands-on experience in building and analyzing computer-based probabilistic models and experience some techniques and challenges to expect in presenting their results.
Participants should have basic knowledge of probability and statistics and intermediate level skills in using Microsoft Excel.
Course Fee: $2,700Registration is now closed.
