Background
There is no doubt that AI is transforming our lives and how we work, and there is also a lot of hype about the possibilities of AI in all segments of the food industry, including food safety and nutrition. We are also starting to hear about some of the potential challenges with current AI tools being incorporated into certain business processes. Perhaps you are interested in opportunities to utilize AI for innovation, nutrition, and/or food safety but not quite sure where to start. Join JIFSAN's second webinar in an AI series to hear some practical insights and real-world examples about how AI is driving innovation, improving efficiency, supporting food safety, and shaping the next generation of food solutions.
Speakers

Dr. Mohamed Badaouinajjar
Mohamed is the Global R&D Sr Director for Digital Transformation at PepsiCo. He is responsible for delivering how R&D professionals will work in the future anchored in Value to users and enterprise. Mohamed has 14 years global industry experience in leading from ideation to launch. He started in product development before moving to science and technology, relocated to Europe to lead region beverages, before repatriating to lead R&D international strategy and portfolio management. Mohamed Is a professional member of IFT, Board of Directors member, and a dedicated volunteer for 19 years across IFTSA BOD, NYIFT president, PD and international divisions, award jury, scientific program review, AMSPAP as well as speaker and moderator. Mohamed received his BS & MS from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and his doctorate in food science from Rutgers University. He has an executive strategy certification from Cornell University and is completing his leading digital transformation program at Wharton School of Business.

Dr. Predrag Kukic
Predrag Kukic is a Computational Science Leader and a member of the multidisciplinary team of
scientists at Unilever’s SERS. The SERS team ensures that Unilever’s innovations are designed to be
safe, sustainable, and compliant by design, without relying on animal testing. Predrag holds a
PhD in structural biology and bioinformatics, and currently leads the Capability Build area for
the Human Systemic Endpoint.
